Archaeology Internship and Experience Program 2025 (Winter) – Jiangxi, China

The International Youth Cultural Exchange Association (Hong Kong) (IYCEC) was established in 1998 by a group of socially responsible entrepreneurs, educators, and social workers dedicated to youth development. It is a government-recognized charitable organization committed to promoting cultural exchange and research between mainland China and Hong Kong youth, as well as organizing various cultural and artistic activities.

To enhance Hong Kong youth's understanding of archaeological work, our center collaborated with the Wucheng Archaeological Team of the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology during the 2024 summer and Christmas holidays, as well as the 2025 summer. We successfully secured a total of fourteen internship placements across three sessions for Hong Kong students to engage in archaeological fieldwork and hands-on experiences. The students demonstrated an outstanding and proactive learning attitude, earning high praise from the mentors of the archaeological team. During this year's summer sessions, the students even discovered two sites alongside their mentors and uncovered nearly 400 ancient cultural artifacts on the surface. In light of their exceptional performance, the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology has recently approved our center to lead another group of students to Wucheng, where they will actively participate in the ongoing archaeological survey of the Qingjiang Basin. This Christmas, we will recruit eight students who will receive theoretical training in archaeology and take part in tasks such as section cleaning, field surveys, and artifact sorting.

This is an extremely rare opportunity, with only eight spots available. We sincerely invite students from your department/program to apply and seize this invaluable chance to gain hands-on archaeological experience. The program is large-scale funded, and our association will also arrange professional training in archaeological theory by experienced instructors from the Institute of Hong Kong Underwater Archaeology Research.

考古工作實習及體驗計劃2025 - 吳城遺址西南調查(冬天)

國際青年文化交流中心（香港） 創立於1998 年，由一群熱心社會公益，關心青少年成長的企業家、教育工作者及社會工作者組成，是政府認可的公共性質慈善機構。中心致力於推動內地和香港的青年文化交流考察，及開展多項文化藝術活動。

為提升香港青年對考古工作的認知及了解，本中心先後於2024年暑假及聖誕節假，以及於2025年暑假與江西省文物考古研究院吳城考古隊合作，成功為香港學生爭取了三次合共十四個實習名額，安排本地大學生到當地進行考古實驗及體驗。學生展現出積極卓越的學習態度，屢獲考古隊導師高度評價。在本年度暑假的兩團，學生更與導師共同發現了兩個遺址及在地表發現接近400件古代文化遺物。鑒於學生的卓越表現，江西省考古研究院最近批准本中心再次帶領學生到吳城，並直接動手參與正在開展中的清江盆地考古調查工作。本年聖誕節將招募八名學生將會接受考古理論學習，並參與清理剖面、地面踏查及作遺物整理等工作。

是次計劃機會非常難得，名額只有八名。現誠邀  貴學系/課程就讀學生報名參與， 爭取這個寶貴的考古實驗及工作體驗機會。整個計劃大部份費用已獲資助，本中心亦會邀請中國香港水下考古文化研究會的專業導師為入選學生進行考古理論培訓。
