HKBU 2026 IWW Writers-in-Residence: Opening Conversation (3 March 2026)

The International Writers’ Workshop (IWW) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) warmly invites you to join our Opening Conversation on Tuesday, 3 March 2026 as we launch our 2026 Writers-in-Residence Programme.  

 

Moderated byProf. James Shea, Director of the IWW, this event will feature six acclaimed writers who will present short readings of their work and share insights from their writing practice:

th International Forum on Linguistics and Chinese Education (IFOLCE-9): Third Notice (Final Call for Papers)

We are delighted to invite you to the 9th International Forum on Linguistics and Chinese Education (IFOLCE-9), which will be hosted by City University of Hong Kong, in partnership with The Education University of Hong Kong and Stanford University as co-organizers, from June 26 to 28, 2026. 

The theme of IFOLCE-9 is Chinese Linguistics, Chinese Education, and Generative AI, advocating cross-disciplinary and empirically oriented research for the advancement of Chinese-related research and applications in the AI era. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to Saturday, January 31, 2026. More details can be found in the attached third notice (三号通知/三號通知). We would be grateful if you could share this notice with your students and colleagues who may be interested.

誠盼新一年一切安順,謹此呈上「以浪濟浪:香港年輕一代新詩學術推廣與研究計劃」招募資訊,祈願轉發隨函海報與章程予本科生,並視情況於相關網頁∕電郵通訊∕社群平台及實體佈告板張貼,以廣徵有志參與之同學。是項計劃獲香港藝術發展局支持,旨在培養大專本科生以學術論文評介香港青年詩人(生於1985年後),連結新詩創作與評論,為香港文學史書寫承先啟後。

  • 參加對象:香港大專院校本科在讀生(年級、學科不限;不接受已畢業申請者)。

  • 名額與指導:共九名;每位入選者獲安排三次一對一學術指導(每次不少於一小時),於研討會發表初步成果,最終結集出版。

At the forthcoming 12th Young Scholars’ Forum in Chinese Studies, we are delighted to announce the theme Crisis and Revitalization: Reconfiguring Certainty through Global China.
