Commemoration and Youth Education Event on Nanjing Massacre 1937
Hong Kong University Graduate Association (HKUGA), together with other renowned institutions in Hong Kong, will hold a special commemoration event “Lest We Forget: Nanjing Massacre 1937” on December 13 at the University of Hong Kong campus, to commemorate victims of the massacre and to express our sincere wish for the preservation of peace. The event explores history, youth empowerment, and peace education.
Highlights:
Film Screening: Iris Chang: The Rape of Nanking. (Film in English with Chinese subtitles)
Sharing Session: Dialogue (in Cantonese) featuring Executive Director of ALPHA Education and the WongAvery Asia Pacific Peace Museum (Canada) and past student contributors on how the 80-year legacy of WW2 in Asia still has lasting enlightenment on youth generations.
